I know there are a lot of recipes out there, especially for candy, that contain some amount of paraffin. However, ingesting larger amounts of wax is really bad for you. Also, the recipe above also says "1/2 package" which gives no real indication of the volume of the amount. I think the recipe *could* be good if the ingredients were changed and the paraffin removed.

Recipe states "1/2 piece" paraffin wax. Paraffin comes in a box of 4 pieces. Half a piece would be about 2x2 inches. The wax in this amount will not harm you. However, the wax isn't necessary in most chocolate coatings that are available today. I have a friend who makes these every year for Christmas, only she dips them in butterscotch coating, and they are delicious.
