Bug and Tick Repellant/Spray (All Natural!)

"I got this off of livingthenourishedlife.com and adjusted it for our needs. I originally mixed it up for the dog, but it would work fine on humans too. The geranium oil makes it smell really good too. You could add a bit of oil too, if you like. Some people do that to help it mix better. Just shake it before use. Geranium is the best oil for repelling ticks and the other ones repel mosquitoes."

  1. Great stuff! I live in MN and we are just starting our tick and mosquito season. This stuff works quite well and smells better than most homemade formulas I've tried. Since it doesn't contain any Deet I feel good using on my kids, who are outside all the time. You can even put it on your scalp. If you're outside late you could even go to bed with it on if you had too. Since I have oily skin I appreciate this formula having a witch hazel base! I seem to only get bit on areas I don't apply it to..got to work on my application.

I am a Christian wife and mother of 3 kids. Since my DH's high cholesterol, we've been eating better. I never used to like cooking. Since eating better, I've liked learning and preparing new recipes. My kids haven't reconciled themselves to the new eating yet. I grind my own grain and make all my own breads.?Working 2 hours a day in the local high school lunch room.??I am homeschooling my high schooler.? ?Also found out 1 child has multiple food allergies (wheat, dairy, tomato, chocolate, etc) and another is gluten sensitive. So, we just started (July 09) eating gluten and dairy free. I've been busy with getting our house market ready, even though it's not the best time for that.?
