  1. Combine sugars& sour cream in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until it boils.
  3. Continue to boil until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240F) or until it forms a soft ball when dropped into cold water.
  4. Stir in salt& vanilla.
  5. Pour hot candy mixture over walnuts in a mixing bowl.
  6. Mix until walnuts are evenly coated.
  7. Spoon out onto waxed paper.
  8. Separate walnuts.
  9. Allow to cool& set.
  10. When dry, store in airtight container.
