This is the one I make but I do put it in the oven with crushed cracker crumbs on top. Saltines or Ritz both work well. Add a little butter to the saltines, the Ritz doesn't need it. I sometimes will putcubed potatoes instead of peas too. You can use the canned ones or partial cook some. Capers are nice in this too. Just a couple TBS.

Very delicious and very easy, even for a cooking newbie like me :) I turned it into more of a casserole, too, but I think it'll be great to reheat for lunches throughout the week. I also used lots of substitutions: macaroni instead of egg noodles, half-fat cream of celery soup instead of mushroom, and carrots, green and wax beans instead of peas and carrots. I also added 1 oz of shredded cheese on top, and baked the whole thing for 5 minutes at 425 degrees. It turned out wonderfully, and would also make an awesome dinner! (If you're doing Weight Watchers, my variation is 5 points per serving!)

My family is usually scared to ask what's for dinner as it probably will be something we have never had before and none of us know if we will like it. I have a family full of picky eaters, but I always make them at least try something before deciding if they like it or not!
