Cake ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1⁄2 cups oil
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chopped english walnuts (can use pecans)
- 2 1⁄2 cups mcintosh apples, diced
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Topping ingredients
- 3⁄4 lb butter
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄4 cup milk
directions
- For Cake: Preheat oven to 350°. Cream sugar, eggs & oil. Add flour; mix till well blended. Add vanilla, nuts, and apples.
- Spread into lightly greased 9x13-inch pan.
- Bake 45 to 60 minutes till pick comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and punch holes in top of cake and pour topping over all. Enjoy.
- Topping: Heat all together over medium heat. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Let boil about 5 minutes; remove from range and pour over warm cake.

<p>Up dated 2-9-06 With the picture of myself and my Husband. <br />I'm a retired from 30yrs in the apartment business, Grandma raising my 2 teen Grandsons with my Husband Larry. I have a Grand-daughter 5 yrs. old, and a grown Daughter & Son. I have traveled mostly in and through-out the US but also Canada(east & west) and Mexico. I collect cookbooks but in my moves and travels have given away as many as I have collected again now. My husband has taken over most of the cooking as I can not do as much as I used to. I do still cook and bake now and then. I also dabble in painting just for fun( no training).</p>
