  • Carmalize 1 cup sugar.
  • after brown pour 1 cup water into it.
  • cook until sugar melts.
  • In a separate dish, stir flour and other cup of sugar together.
  • Beat eggs and add to sugar and flour.
  • Add remaining ingredients except butter.
  • Cook until thick.
  • cool, put a layer of wafers and a layer of wafers and a layer of pudding until used all.
  • top with meringue and brown.

I was raised in Bayou country. Liked to watch my uncle wrestle aligators. I am pure Cooney ( to some of you that means coon ass. Also loved to pole the pireau down the bayou. At one time my uncle tied his brother to a tree in the swamp and left him there. they got him out before the water got to his chest. Sinful uncle.
