Celery Shrimp Bisque

"OOOHH This is good soup. If you want, you can puree a cup of soup and put it back in the pot for a thicker smoother texture."

  1. Fixed this for lunch today and what an easy and delicious soup. I cut the recipe in half and the only thing I did differently was to add a little leftover diced carrot and I made a roux with the butter and flour (in a sauce pan) then added the half-n-half and let it simmer till it thickened up and then added to the vegetable mixture. Definately will make this again. I might add some red pepper flakes for a little zing but it was delicious as is. Made for Bargain Basement tag game 2010.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
