Cheeseburger Macaroni and Cheese

ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1⁄2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 cups cooked macaroni
directions
- In dutch oven or electric skillet, heat oil.
- Add onion, saute 2 min, add beef, cook and stir until done.
- Add flour, cook and stir 1 minute.
- Add milk, butter and spices, stir until creamy.
- Fold in macaroni.
- Top with cheese, cover and heat until cheese melts.

I made this on 5/6/08 for our dinner and as part of "A Taste of Yellow 2008 "event.Except for cutting everything in half,the recipe was followed exactly. And after doing a "Quality Taste Test ",a little bit more pepper was added to suit our tastes. This will be made again. Thank you for posting and, "Keep Smiling :)"

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
