The first time I tried these I used margarine instead of butter and Splenda instead of sugar. You don't want to know how terrible they were. They were like little lumps of stuff. If you threw them at a window, it would bust for sure. It was bad!!<br/>The second, third, fourth and on and on times I made them, I followed the recipe to the "t" and how amazing it was that they tasted like the ones at good ole' Hubbard H.S. in Chicago!!

I have been looking for this recipe for years. It has been close to 20 years since I have had these good cookies. I am going to make them tonight and then write another review on what I thought about them. If anyone is from the Chicago area, there was a school name Terrell Elementary close to 55th and State and their cookies were delicious. It has been a long time since any schools have made these cookies, so I hope that they taste as delicious as all the others have stated. Thanks again for putting this recipe on here, now I can make these cookies with my children and they can continue on with theirs for years to come. OMG!!! They are great, they taste just like the ones in the school and I am glad that you were able to put that recipe on here, thank you, my kids love them too!!!!
