Chicken and Rice Casserole

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 34 cup milk
  • 10 -12 pieces chicken
  • 12 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sour cream

directions

  • Warm up soups and milk slightly and pour over top of rice in a 9X13 pan.
  • Lift up the rice slightly, don't stir.
  • On top of the rice, lay out chicken pieces.
  • Mix dry onion soup mix with sour cream and pour on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 325 for 2 1/2 hours.

  1. This recipe was easy to make, the chicken stayed moist and it was just an all around good tasting casserole. I used 3 whole chicken breast (halved) and light sour cream.
     
  2. I haven't had this before, so I didn't really know what to expect. The taste overall was pretty good, but I wasn't sure about the consistency. It turned out to be this porridge-like thing that I don't know if it was because I made something wrong, or if it was supposed to be like that.=)
