  1. Tasty, quick and easy. 3 wonderful words when you haven't got a lot of time. I didnt have any peppers so used a shake of chili flakes. The added cream style corn gives this soup a nice creamy texture and smooth flavour. Delicious!

  2. I love me a nice SPICY kick but not good for the kiddos. Its an AWESOME fast recipe!!! For those less heat tolerant, dont use the jalapeno or cayenne. I also used skim milk instead of 2% and the soup was still freaking fabulous!

  3. I was following the recipe, so I thought, until I realized I had added garlic and garlic salt to the chowder. There isn't any garlic in the recipe! I had a slight panic attack, but kept going, following the recipe's directions. In the end, even with my mistake, my family enjoyed the chowder. I will make this again. This time without the garlic.

  4. This is an easy, comforting, hearty soup that is going to become one of my "soup staples". Terrific recipe! I used whole milk to give it a creamy mouth feel and was thrilled with the results.

  5. Made this tonight for dinner after I poached a skin-on, bone-in split chicken breast to use for the chicken. It made more than two cups. Quick and easy--the best kind of recipe. I didn't use jalapeno and only put in a scant 1/8 tsp of cayenne, but it still had a mild kick. It got the thumbs up from the kids and from me. Yummy.

  2. This a terrific chowder. I used a little bit of hot sauce instead of the jalapeno pepper and I substituted half & half for 1/2 of the milk (1 1/2 cup skim milk and 1 1/2 cups half & half). I used 2 cups of shredded chicken (breast and thigh meat). The result was super delicious meal that was very easy to make. I served it with Recipe #26110 and will definitely make again ~ thanks for posting!

  3. Hot dang! This soup is very spicy, just how I like it. Of course, I also love corn soup so this was really the best of both worlds for me. I subbed some chicken broth in place of some of the milk without trouble. This is the best corn soup I have found that also includes jalapeos. Really great for a chilly day... I was so warm my brow was getting sweaty... really, it was great! Made for Stone Soup game.

  4. this was a nice tasty soup for a chilly day! i liked that it was made from healthier ingredients too. i added extra onions and celery as well as some fresh garlic, and jalapeno hot sauce instead of the fresh jalapeno. this tasted nice and rich and i didn't miss the cream one bit!

  5. Used Cornstarch instead of flour and cut the amount in half. Worked fine. I recommend cooking the chicken before cubing/cutting it. Was moderately spicy using a whole jalapeno + cayenne. All to my liking though. Very tasty and simple.
