When making this soup, I did switch a few things, in that I used 3 large chicken breasts (which I ended up dicing after they were cooked), & substituted two quarts of homemade chicken broth for half of the water! Other than that, I stuck to the recipe & shared a great tasting soup with a neighbor couple! Very comforting on a cool winter night! [Made & reviewed for one of my adopted chefs in this Spring's Pick A Chef event]
