  1. Cut up the chicken or turkey.
  2. Chop the onion, slice the mushrooms.
  3. Put all the ingredients, except for the tomatoes& barley in a large pot.
  4. Bring to a boil, then simmer for@30 minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes.
  6. Simmer for@1 hour.
  7. Add barley.
  8. Simmer for@1hour.
