DIRECTIONS

  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, shortening and milk.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add cocoa, salt, vanilla, coconut and oats, mix well together.
  • Drop by tablespoonful onto wax paper lined cookie sheets.
  • Chill and enjoy.
