  1. Mollyjoy -- this was incredible. I "found" some tfrozen tilapia in the freezer and Googled "tilapia + cilantro" and found your recipe. It was such a hit! Had to tell you how much we enjoyed it. THANKS!!

  2. A nice way to bake tilapia for a change. The cilantro dried out a little once finished baking which didn't look too appetizing - next time I will add them midway through the baking time. Very light and healthy recipe.

  3. Was looking for a recipe to use some extra cilantro I had on hand. DH and I both enjoyed it. Thanks for posting!

  4. I'm eating my FIRST EVER attempt at any kind of fish. I chose this recipe because I like fish, I had never cooked it, and this seemed nice and easy! And it was! So quick to prepare, it literally took me a minute or so of prep time. The blend of spices is wonderful. Seeing as how I don't live close enough to the ocean to get fresh tilapia, the slightly-fresh frozen filets turned out great. I wrapped mine in foil-like a boat- and coated both sides of the fish with olive oil, leaving some oil in the bottom of each foil "boat." I put on my desired amount of spices, and added a dash of lemon juice and put it in the oven for about ten minutes. It turned out fabulous. Thanks for helping to make my first attempt at cooking fish a successful one! I will definitely be using this recipe again!

  5. OHH this was GREAT!! My daughter made me make it for her again immediately, b/c 2 pieces of fish was not enough, and then said she wanted it again for dinner tomorrow! We loved it!!!! Thanks

Tweaks

  1. I really liked the spice. I only disliked how the garlic salt made the fish ridiculously salty. I would either reduce the amount of garlic salt or instead just use garlic powder. I will definitely make this again sometime. I might even use minced garlic instead of garlic salt . I cut the amount of olive oil down to one tablespoon to make the recipe a lot healthier. I not only coated the bottom with olive oil, I also coated the fish before putting on the spices.

  2. It is rare that I can buy Tilapia in my small town but it was on sale frozen and I snapped it up. We love Cilantro and it was lovely on the fish. I was liberal with the Cajun seasoning and used fine roasted garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I have more Tilapia in the freezer and just may do this recipe again - Thanks Mollyjoe for a new taste sensation
