  1. A++++++.Loaf is a misnomer. It does its job well, wonderful moist and light.Just enough cinnamon and sugar.Great for dessert or breakfast..I did both:)I will keep sour cream on hand to make this again and again!!Thanks for sharing!

  2. Coffe, breakfast, heck this is good enough to eat all day long. I made it this morning and DD woke up and wanted to know what smelled so good. I too added the extra topping on top, it looked just as good as it tastes too. I will spray the loaf pan next time...I forgot. Thanks, this is really good and I will make it all the time now it was so very easy to make.

  3. Absolutely the best loaf recipe I have found. My husband requests this at least twice a month. Perfect for breakfast too! Thanks for the recipe.

  4. So moist and delicious. I sprinkled some of the cinnamon mixture on top too. So yummy with a cup of tea! I will make this again and again. Thank you.

  5. This was wonderful! I saved a bit of the cinnamon mixture and sprinkled it on top before baking. I will make this bread again and again!

Tweaks

  1. Another happy customer! Although this is not the absolute best cinnamon bread I've ever had, I'm giving it five stars because it is very, very good -- and it's so extremely easy to make. I took the suggestions of other reviewers and reduced the fat in it -- I used light sour cream, reduced the butter to two tablespoons, and used 6 tablespoons of applesauce in place of the remaining butter. I may "get jiggy with it" (to quote Seinfeld) and replace all the butter next time, as well as using whole wheat pastry flour ... what's the worst that can happen? Anyway, this was great -- thanks for posting it.

  2. This was a really great tasting loaf, that my hubbie luved. I substituted yogurt for the sour cream, since that's what I had on hand, and it still tasted absolutely great. I think next time I might try to make the same recipe as a fruitcake and see what happens, minus the cinnamon. A keeper, thanks!
