I decided to make some boiled shrimp to snack on. Of course I didn't have any cocktail sauce so finding this easy recipe was great! I love that it doesn't have horseradish since I NEVER have that stuff in my pantry. Anyway, I made it and I'm eating it right now. It obviously isn't traditional and so it doesn't takes exactly as normal cocktail sauce would but, it isn't bad either. This is a great simple sauce to make when you really need cocktail sauce in a pinch. I'm grateful you shared this recipe! Thanks! Oh, and it's super tasty :D

I was looking for a cocktail sauce that did not call for horseradish and came across this recipe. I made 1/2 the recipe because there is only DH and myself. This was okay, but just did not hit on the flavor I was after. It probably could be tweeked to more suit my taste. The chili powder flavor seemed to overpower the sauce. I still would encourage anyone to try this recipe. Thanks CarrolJ, I look forward to trying more of your recipes!
