  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add alternately with 1 1/3 cups water.
  • Fold in sauerkraut.
  • Bake in greased 9x13 inch pan 35 to 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Frost with Sour Cream Frosting.
  • Melt together chips and butter over low heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, vanilla and enough powdered sugar to spread well.
