"Good 1 dish meal for potlucks--very versatile--you can use your imagination and add many other ingredients to make it different. I often add mushrooms and do with bread crumbs."

  1. I don't like hamburger, so I made it in a rectangle baking pan, and only put the hamburger on my husband's half. We both loved it. Good reheated.

  2. It was good but I agree that it could use a little more flavor. I added mushrooms to mine and Italian seasoing to the sauce. Next time I will I think I will add spinach and more seasoning. Maybe italian sausage?

  3. Anxious to make it again! I added a little garlic powder, onion powder, italian seasoning and basil to sauce. Would leave green peppers out next time. Delicious!

  4. very good and easy casserole... added diced tomatoes to the beef mixture!! thanks for the good recipe!!

  5. The creamy texture of the cheese mixture was terrific. I used rotini noodles for this and added some garlic, salt & pepper to the tomato sauce for some extra flavor. I still think it could have used a little more flavor.....maybe some fresh chopped basil, more garlic, etc. Over all, we really enjoyed this and I'll make this again (adding more herbs/spices). Thanx for sharing!

Tweaks

  1. I add green red and yellow peppers and sweet onion and cook with ground beef. I also throw a handful of grated sharp cheese in the mixture. I swear it's even better the next day!
