  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Brush cast iron skillet with vegetable oil and place in oven for about 10 minutes.
  • Mix all ingredients in bowl.
  • Take skillet out of oven and pour the cornmeal batter in skillet.
  • Bake for about 35 minutes.

  1. I have made this before many times. It is so good. I also sprinkle hot pepper flakes on top of cornbread before baking. I served this for a wedding shower with grilled chiken/greens salad with chipole salad dressing. Delish.
