  • Cream shortening, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla together in large bowl.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together.
  • Add to creamed ingredients.
  • Then add in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts.
  • Dip out by ice cream scoop and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 mins.

  2. These are wonderful! I used walnuts 'cause that's what's in the freezer. These are like the big cookies you get at snack bars only better.
