2 2/3 cups frosting
ingredients
- 2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese
- 1⁄2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 cups sifted powdered sugar
directions
- In a mixer bowl beat together the cream cheese, butter or margarine, and vanilla till light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, beat till smooth.

Just made this wonderfully sweet frosting! 1/2 everythhing turned out awsome to frost one 9x13 white cake! next i am going to try it with cinnamon rolls!!! i cant wait!!!! -
This is a good frosting but I found it really sweet. Next time I'll cut the powdered sugar in half. We used it on cinnamon buns and found it too sweet for us. I will make it again. -
This is pretty darn close to what I used as a filling in between Recipe #69630 that I made as a layer cake for me and my husband's birthdays. It has the same ingredients only in a little different amounts. This tastes fantastic!!! DH was licking the bowl he loved it so much! My friend gave me her recipe (and she is a professional baker) and said to only use margerine not butter, so that's what I did! This tastes delicious and is so easy to make!
