Questions & Replies

  1. There's a photo of this bread showing flecks. Was a spice, herb or seed added?

  2. For the Cream Cheese Yeast Bread, could I use half almond flour and half Vital Wheat Gluten? I really want to try this bread as a lower carb version. Or are there other ingredients I could put in to make up for the bread flour? Thank you!

  3. Can almond flour be subbed in for the 3 cups of bread flour to lower the carb count? Thanks in advance.

  1. WOW! Just delicious! This has to be the best white bread recipe I have tried so far.I am always looking for new and unique recipes to try in my bread maker, and this one is now at the top of the list. You have to try this recipe ASAP!I know cream cheese can be expensive,so I always wait for a sale and then pack some away in the freezer for later use. I only used 2 TBS. of sugar and it was perfect. My husband really enjoyed this bread!Oh, and I used 2 tsp. of yeast!Thank you for this recipe Marie!

  2. Just wondering why you don't bake the bread in the bread machine?

  3. An excellent loaf of bread, delicious, makes a huge loaf. I did have to add more water as the bread machine was kneading. Oil instead of butter worked well. I formed the dough into a loaf and baked it in a 9 x 5 pan, couldn't believe how high it raised. Marie, thanks for posting . . . Janet

  4. Moist, soft and delicious. I let the dough go through the entire knead, rise and bake cycles in the bread machine. The loaf did not rise to the top of the pan as many white bread recipes do but it still is a great tasting bread.

  5. I made this from start to finish in my bread machine. It was delicious. The bread texture was perfect and the crust was light and crispy. I did add almost a 1/4 cup extra water because the dough seemed too firm. I suggest starting with 1/8 cup extra water and add even more water from another 1/8 cup if the dough still seems too firm.

Tweaks

  1. I added 1/4 cup of extra water and made the bread from start to finish in my bread machine on the regular bread setting and light crust option. The texture was great. Cuts beautifully.
