  1. This is one of my all time favorites- I've been making them for years. We make batches and batches of these every Christmas. A small bag of these has become our traditional gift to the kids' teachers and they are eagerly awaited by everyone each year. Quick tip: 2 1/4 cups of brown sugar is 1 pound.

  2. Just made two batches for Christmas gifts. I sprinkled sea salt on the caramels after pouring and before cutting. So good! I also wrapped in parchment paper because it seems to stay wrapped better. A new holiday tradition!

  3. Excellent! First time making any caramels, and it didn't fail me! Made a pan half sea salt and half pecan! This recipe made so much, I had to send a box to work with my husband!

  5. I've been making these for years. They work well in a silicon pan, pops right out!! Also have dipped then in chocolate.
