Creamy Peppercorn Steaks

ingredients
- 3 tablespoons crushed black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 4 New York strip steaks (10-12oz each)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1⁄3 cup half-and-half
directions
- Mix the peppercorns and white pepper.
- Rub over both sides of meat.
- Chill 1 hour.
- Sprinkle salt in large skillet, heat on high until salt starts to brown.
- Sear steaks on both sides.
- Add butter, reduce heat to med and cook for 2 minutes per side.
- Add worcestershire sauce and tobasco, cook each side 2 more minutes, or until desired doneness.
- Remove steaks; add cream, cook and stir until smooth.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
