  • Combine the soy sauce, marmalade, ketchup, and garlic; brush on both sides of the ribs.
  • Place in a slow cooker. Pour remaining sauce all over. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

  1. As said by the poster: Easy and Tasty! The tiny different thing I did was using my homemade orange-ginger marmalade. If I would not have had that I probably would have added fresh grated ginger. Will next time add some chili peppers to it. A keeper!

I may use this marinade to brush on ribs grilling over charcoal as it was very good right after I made it (which is why I gave 2 stars) but I found it very salty after sitting in the crockpot all day. The meat was also on the dry side. This is only the second time I made meat in the crockpot and both times they were very dry. I guess I am not a crockpot person. My fiance gave me a technical reason why this may happen and suggested marinating the meat in vinegar to help with the problem. I may try this again someday using rice wine vinegar but I will have to do something about the salty taste of the sauce as well. It was just too much for me and I wound up throwing most of it away.
