  1. This is really delicious. Followed the recipe exactly and used the hand blender after the final hour to thicken up - but left lots of chunks of potatoes and corn. served topped with bacon and homemade bread. Yummy!

  2. What's better than having hot soup waiting for you after a busy day? I made this as written, using 3 potatoes. I chopped them fairly small, so they were perfectly tender afetr about 7 hours. I did mash them a bit, but I still woud have liked the soup to be thicker. I only used 2 tbsp of butter with the milk. Next time I will add some cornatsrch to the milk to thicken this some more. Thanx for posting!

  3. Good recipe, a few minor mistakes on my part. I only had one potato, so my soup was a little bit... empty. The flavor was GREAT (I added some fresh ground pepper, a few dashes of paprika and a splash of Tabasco), but the broth was a bit thin. Next time I think I'll try stirring in some instant potato flakes at the end for thickness, and make sure to cut the onions a bit smaller. Overall, tasty!

  4. This is a very easy dinner and tastes pretty good too! I missed the bacon flavour in it and next time I will fry a few pieces and crumble it into the mixture. The other problem I had I think was my own. My potatoes simply would not soften up even after cooking the 9 hours. It may have been the potatoes I was using so won't blame the recipe. My husband said he liked them better when they were a bit firm. I like them soft and. . . well, guess who cooks!! Even though it would add another step, I will saute the onions before throwing them into the slow cooker. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

  5. I didn't think it was very good. It was thin and plain. It needs some seasoning or bacon or something.

I have two boys Eddie 18 and Brandon 10. I have been with my hubby for 16 years. I work full time outside the home and my boys keep me busy at home. Eddie is a singer and base guitar player in a band and Brandon races go karts. We also have a Collie/Beagle mix named Sugar. I love to cook and try out new recipes. My family likes it too but at times ask my to make just "normal" food, as I forget sometimes to make my own TNT recipes. I cook a lot with with my crock pot as it makes life a lot easier for me. I am always on the look out for new crock pot recipes. I'm not much of a baker as I don't like to measure things. I collect cookbooks and recipes in general. I usually start with a recipe and tweak to my families liking. My Rating System: 5 Stars = The whole family enjoyed the dish and it will be added to my TNT cookbook. Book #220911. These recipes will be made again and again. 4 Stars = Recipe was good, but needed some modifications or it was good but not something we would want on a regular basis. Also goes into my TNT-4 star recipe cookbook. Book #220912 3 Stars = It was edible, but won't be made again. 2 Stars = Needs some kind of major adjustments. 1 Stars = Inedible, didn't work, waste of ingredients.
