  1. Had never tried meatloaf in the crockpot, so had to have a go at it. Not bad, but I think something was lost in the process, there was not a lot of taste. I think I would add more dry mustard and more garlic next time. It took about 6 hours to cook which was perfect timing for our dinner. Served salsa at the table with it, to add a little zing. It did make good meatloaf sandwiches for lunch the next day, with added mustard, onion slices, dill pickle, kinda like a meatloaf cold hamburger sandwich. We found it to be better the next day as a sandwich. Thanks for sharing.

  2. This is the first time I have tryed to make a meatloaf in the crockpot. It turned out very moist and held together very well. I would like to try it again with more seasoning. Thank You

  3. Good basic recipe. I substituted ground turkey and 3 low carb bread slice (instead of just two.) I also cooked it on high for the first hour and a half. I doubled the onion and garlic and poured dry white wine over it after I put the tomatoes on. Turned out fabulous, good consistency, and very tasty if I don't say so myself. Too garlicy for the 4 1/2 and 3 year old. They should grow into that though.

  4. This did not turn out at all for me. Made the mistake of trying it with a CROWD at our home and not reading the prior reviews. Cook time was really off, fell apart, looked like hash. Maybe I went wrong somewhere. Was really hoping for a crockpot meatloaf recipe as we, during the summer, have a house full each weekend. In order for me to join in the fun and still have something at the end of the day we use crockpots all the time. Will keep looking!

  5. I fixed this for a church dinner and everybody loved it!I added diced bell pepper and took the advice from the others to add more spices. It was great! The timing though was bad~maybe I made mine with more meat. I cooked it over-night and still had to put it in the oven to finish before church. Thanks for the recipe!

I live in Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to run into Recipezaar around Nov. 2000 and got hooked quickly. I am a cookbook collector and have been collecting recipes for as long as I can remember. My DH had to build in shelves for all my cookbooks! I like to dabble with OAMC and for a few years hosted the Budget/OAMC forum with some great people over there. Even though I don't work in the forum any longer I've set up a lot of cookbooks for the purpose of OAMC and stretching food that might be helpful. Please feel free to check them out! I go on food jags and cooking jags! Please come say hi to me and chat on facebook. I currently host a blog for saving money through finding deals and coupons if you are interested. Most of the time I try to cook and have a good dinner on the table but I'll be honest enough to say there is still fast food occasionally in the budget! I have had such wonderful support here whenever I need it. Thank you all for being here! Just a quick note on how I rate recipes: ? 5 stars - This recipe is perfect. (My DH is truly a critic and doesn't give 5's unless it's amazing) I would recommend it to others and would definitely make again. ? 4 stars - This recipe was good but I would change something in it next time. ? 3 stars - This is a recipe I would not make again but it was OK ? 2 stars - This recipe I would not make again and we didn't like it at all ? 1 star - This recipes did not work out/taste was unappealing and wouldn't make again
