This is the best and easiest peach dessert I have ever had. I made it with canned light sliced peaches instead of fresh or frozen and it still was wonderful - warm and gooey and sweet. I imagine it would be even better with a little vanilla ice cream, but it was wonderful just by itself. I'll be making this for years to come.

Yooper, you made my family think I'm a real good cook with this recipe. So simple and so good. Can't wait to try it with other kinds of fruit. When I lived in New Jersey the only thing I made was reservations, now I live in an area of the South without much in the way of restaurants so I'm learning to cook thru this great site. You certainly have helped me out. Thanks.

Ok so this has been rated 37 times before me and no one has noted how to avoid the clumps of cake mix after cooking. It's really easy, just cut in the butter while it's still cold into the cake mix like you would when making pie dough. It will be crumbly, then spoon or sprinkle over peaches. I also used can peaches, 3 drained and 1 undrained. They were 15 oz. cans. Too much liquid makes crust mushy, too little crust has uncooked spots with dry cake mix. I hope these pointers help some of us here. My 5 boys and myself LOVE this dessert regularly by stove method. Now it's even easier with the crockpot!!!1 Thank you

Made this yesterday to take to my daughter's for dessert. I did make 2 changes: I used 2 TBSP of Splenda brown sugar blend instead of the brown sugar and used a Jiffy yellow cake mix instead of white. This has a wonderful flavor! We had it with some vanilla ice cream and it made for a satisfying dessert. We will make this again! Thank you for sharing!

What can I say about myself that hasn't already been mentioned in the police reports? Just kidding! I'm a single guy who loves to cook! Good thing, or I'd starve or go broke eating out! I love to read, horror and mysteries are my favorite.
Love music, (except rap) and I'm a huge Green Bay Packer Fan!
