Crock Pot Turkey Chili with Bacon

"Beware... this is a pretty hot chili. Ground beef can be substituted for ground turkey. Freezes very well."

  1. Yum! This was really good, spicey but not fire hot. Can't wait to make it again.

  2. I modified this a bit and spiced it up and it turned out really good. I used a can of fat free refried beans and a can of cannelini beans and added some more garlic and other spices. Thanks!

  3. My family did not like this recipe at all. I expected to walk into the house to a wonderful smelling crockpot of chili after a long day of work, and it just wasn't like that. It was very bland. The great crockpot chili recipe search continues on. . .

  4. This is very good chili! I have never used bacon in chili, and it was a nice addition (I used regular bacon). I didn't have a regular tomato, so I used what I figured would be the equivalent in grape tomatoes and pureed them with the garlic and fresh jalapenos (3 jalapenos weighed out at 2 ounces). The only other thing I did different was use 2 cans of pintos and 1 can of kidney beans, rather than the other way around, because my family prefers the pintos. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious chili recipe!
