  1. I've made this many times but I HAVE to have 1/2 tsp + or - freshly grated nutmeg added to the recipe. Eggs & nutmeg, perfect partners.

  2. I tweak this recipe and added 3/4 cup of coconut , it a hit in my house.

  3. This is an amazing custard pie! It is SO easy to make I can see this being made often! I sprinkled the top with ground nutmeg and some cinnamon sugar and served it cold with a dollop of sweetened whip cream on top. The flavor is rich and the texture creamy, with a slight crunch on the top. Dh was in heaven....he asked me to please, please NOT lose this recipe as he was going to be requesting it often.

  4. Easy recipe for families to enjoy. I love that we could use the blender for quick cleanup! Delicious and simple. We like less sweet so used 3/4 cup sugar.

  5. I am so glad you posted this recipe! I have made this pie quite a few times now and my family loves it every time. I substitute splenda granular for the sugar to reduce the carb count a bit. I love that I can throw everything in the blender and within 5 minutes have dessert baking in the oven. Thanks again!

Tweaks

  1. I don't eat sugar or flour. I used spelt flour instead and 2/3 c up real maple syrup instead of sugar. For an extra decadent creamy custard, I used 2 cups (1 pint) heavy cream instead of milk. A sure Winner at a pot luck, you will always be invited back!

  2. i used gluten free namnaste flour for mine; subs for etheriolt sugagar subs and stevia choclate flavor ...same measurement and but added flax seed 2 tbsp I used all organic ingredients..... it turned out better than regular flour. as I made three of them 1 coffee flavour with liquior i used 1/3 tiny bottle not enough flavour need add more next time and last one with dashes of cinnamon pumpkin.

  3. Use 1/2 cup sugar and add a dash of nutmeg. Top with 1 T. cinnamon

  4. Used Maple Syrup with just a splash of vanilla.
