  1. Michelle, you won my boyfriends heart (and stomach) with this recipe. So easy to make! The flavors are intense but not overpowering. I served it with egg noodles, buttered and sprinkled with garlic powder and cinnamon roasted carrots. It was an outstanding meal that I will cook over and over! Thanks sooo much!

  2. Husband rated it "as nothing special", but he ate all of it...that makes it at least a 3 for me! He said it had good flavor but the steak was a little tough. I might try it again with ground beef patties for a more tender meat.

  3. Wonderful, fast, cheap meal. I tripled the sauce and before adding the sauce ingredients to the pan I added 1/2 T of flour and let that cook in the drippings for a minute or so. It didn't really thicken up much but was very tasty and pleasant. Used bottled lemon juice and it's a low quality fake lemon so I bet it is way much better with fresh lemon juice. Will make this again.

  4. It tasted the best. I also added flour and more ingr. to make more. I had it over potatoes. Turned out great. Thank you

  5. This was quite good and a nice simple meal. I served it with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The amounts in the recipe really didn't make enough sauce. My husband loves gravy so I sprinkled a little flour in the pan after I removed the steaks and doubled the rest of the ingredients. It still did not make a whole lot so next time I will probably triple the gravy ingredients. Flavor was wonderful though and I have 2 picky elementary aged children that loved it.

Tweaks

  1. These were pretty good. Not much different from how my mom makes them. I didn't have lemon juice so instead of the lemon juice I used some lemon-pepper seasoning. They were still flavorful and delicious.

  2. This was an amazing recipe, easy to follow and great tasting. We loved it! The only difference I made was using Red Pepper Seasoning instead of Black (ran out) but WOW anyhow, we ate these steaks with whipped buttery garlic mashed potatoes and sweet corn on the cob. AWESOME RECIPE, thanks so much!! P.S. word to the wise, double the gravy recipe, and use alittle flour to thicken it up, yum!!!

  3. Delicious! I didn't have Worsteshire so I used ketchup, added a dash of garlic powder and some onion flakes, then added a splash of red wine instead of the water. Quick, easy and something I would serve to company. Next time I might lightly cook some minced garlic instead of the garlic powder. I liked not having to use flour or my usual italian bread crumbs to get something very flavorful. Thanks to the others for the side dish suggestions. This is a keeper :)
