- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 3⁄4 cup butter, cubed
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips

- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1⁄4 cup butter, cubed
directions
- Melt together butter and unsweetend chocolate in microwave, stir until smooth, then cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar and chocolate mixture.
- Stir in egg whites and vanilla.
- Stir in flour.
- Stir in the chips.
- Spread into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
- Melt together chips and butter, stir until smooth.
- Spread over warm brownies.
- Cool completely before cutting.

Wow. These are so rich and gooey they had to be eaten with a fork. Would be heavenly with some vanilla ice cream. The dark chocolate give a really intense, not too sweet flavor. I made these for my daughter who is about to give birth any day now. Last time she was pregnant I made her chocolate cake and she gave birth that night. This time brownies and maybe I'll be a grandma again tonight! Thanks for the recipe, it's a winner!
