Debbies German Chocolate Pie

- 1 pie crust
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1⁄2 cup light Karo syrup
- 1⁄2 cup Dark Karo syrup
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 3 eggs, large
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, lightly chopped
- 1 cup coconut, flaked
- 1 (8 ounce) package chocolate chips, semi sweet
directions
- Preheat oven 350 degrees. Bake pie crust 8 minutes.
- In bowl, combine brown sugar, and both syrups. Mix well.
- Add eggs, butter, vanilla and salt. Stir in pecan halves.
- Place chocolate chips in bottom of pie crust.
- Top with coconut.
- Pour pecan mixture into over coconut.
- Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool.
