  1. Mine was vodka, can't do gin. This is very good, love the olive juice. I only swirled the vermouth in the glass then dumped the rest out so that it was "dry" as well as dirty.

  2. Being the lushes that we are, we drank SHOTS of these and chased with a Bloody Mary. Great for a brunch.

  3. My, My, My,......... I have Never been one to like or drink 'clear' alcohol, BUT, I Love Olives, and I always wanted to try a Martini , "Shaken, Not Stirred!" Once I tried one, "A Good One", I LOVED It! But, I've learned Not EVERY Bartender can make a GOOD Martini! This ONE is PERFECT! Now I can make My Own! I used Grey Goose Vodka, 1/2 ounce of Olive Juice and Large Garlic Stuffed Olives! Thank You!!

  4. Simply fabulous for dry martini types like me! I used garlic stuffed olives and Tanqueray gin and it was sooo good! Thanks for posting this recipe!

  5. Some folks say a true martini is made with gin!! That went out in the 1950’s!! Many people, including myself don’t like the taste of turpentine, gins chemical cousin!! When vodka was imported to America, it replaced gin!! Now, only very few old timers prefer the flavor of turpentine to that of a crisp, clear and clean tasting vodka, preferably potato vodka, but most can’t tell the difference from grain distilled vodka!! A martini made of gin, while I’ll admit can claim to be an authentic martini, is like claiming the Roman Coliseum is better than a modern day, domed stadium!! Gin users, it’s time to come into the 21st century and enjoy the now only true martini...a vodka martini!! May take a while to switch, but not long and well worth the class and taste, if on that 1st date!! In fact, a classy restaurant, will serve a vodka martini unless gin is specified!! NOT my opinion!! Experience backed!! Not trying to diss gin!! Just stating a fact that you’ll enjoy alone, with guests or that special candle lit, at home, romantic dinner!!
