Dirty Shirley
"This is my favorite drink when I go out. Basically a Shirley Temple, with Vodka. Have to call it dirty since I fixed it up a bit:-)"

ingredients
- 4 -6 ounces carbonated lemon-lime beverage
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce grenadine, I use a little less
- 1 -2 maraschino cherry (to garnish)
directions
- Pour all ingredients over ice in a tall drinking glass.
- Stir, drink and enjoy!

One of my favorites! If you like gin (like me), try that instead. I only use a half-ounce of grenadine. Ginger ale is a good substitute for the lemon-lime soda, too. Refreshing! Be careful! These naughty little devils will sneak up on you!

I am a Southern Belle through and through seeing as my upbringing was in LA........That would be Lower Alabama. I think growing up in a Southern family requires you to know how to make people happy by feeding them. So it became my specialty.

<br>I enjoy going to small little cooking classes when I can.I was able to go to a weekend cooking class in Italy while my family was stationed in the UK. That is where my picture posted here came from. I had such a wonderful experience!

<br>In my spare time I bowl on a couple of leagues. I also had a summer job where I learned to do some beaded jewelry, and it kind of became a liked hobby of mine.
