Ingredients: 1 tablespoon sugar; 1 teaspoon salt; 1/2 teaspoon basil; 1/2 teaspoon oregano; 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard; 1 pinch black pepper; 1 pinch garlic powder; 1/2 cup red wine vinegar; 1 1/2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish; 2 teaspoons onions, chopped; 1/4 teaspoon red pepper, chopped; 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped; 2 cups vegetable oil; 2 teaspoons capers, chopped; 2 teaspoons green olives, chopped; 2 teaspoons parsley, chopped; 1 teaspoon green onion, chopped; 3 cups romaine lettuce, torn; 3 cups bibb lettuce, torn; 2 large tomatoes; 1 cucumber; 1/2 lb green beans, blanched; 1/2 lb salami, julienned; 3 slices bacon, crumbled

1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
¹⁄₂ teaspoon basil
¹⁄₂ teaspoon oregano
¹⁄₄ teaspoon dry mustard
1 pinch black pepper
1 pinch garlic powder
¹⁄₂ cup red wine vinegar
1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons sweet pickle relish
2 teaspoons onions, chopped
¹⁄₄ teaspoon red pepper, chopped
1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
2 cups vegetable oil
2 teaspoons capers, chopped
2 teaspoons green olives, chopped
2 teaspoons parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon green onion, chopped
SALAD
3 cups romaine lettuce, torn
3 cups bibb lettuce, torn
2 large tomatoes
1 cucumber
¹⁄₂ lb green beans, blanched
¹⁄₂ lb salami, julienned
3 slices bacon, crumbled

directions

Combine sugar, salt, basil, oregano, dry mustard, pepper, garlic powder and red wine vinegar in a bottle; shake to combine.
Add sweet pickle relish, onion, red pepper, egg, vegetable oil, capers and olives; shake again. Store in refrigerator.
SALAD:
Combine romaine and bibb lettuce in a large salad bowl.
Arrange 2 large tomatoes cut in wedges around salad bowl.
Arrange sliced cucumber half way over tomatoes.
Combine blanched green beans with salami in center of salad.
Crumble bacon over salad.
Pour enough dressing over salad to coat.
