I don't really like Shepherd's Pie we do in Quebec (beef, corn and mashed potatoes). But this version is so good. I love it and I'll do it again. I love all the veggies in it. I added green bell pepper. I love the sauce with the beef base (I used no-sodium). I heated the sauce in the microwave. I cooked the carrots in the microwave also. When the cheese was a little bit melted, I decided to put the oven at Broil to broil the cheese. Yummy! Thanks Cooks4_6 for a yummy meal :) Made for 123 hit wonders.

I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Ohio in 1978. It was quite a culture shock going from the city to living next to the Amish. I spend most of my time cooking, cleaning and caring for my four kids. I have abandoned cookbooks and now cook from favorite, wilted recipe pages and the internet. I fell in love with my Italian family recipes (Scavo, Rotella, Scalzo, Micelli, Grande, Gigliotti) and my Mom's homecooked meals.
