Questions & Replies

  1. I'm confused. I didn't get a lime because it wasn't in the main ingredient list (just in parenthesis if substituting); will I be ok without it? Should it be in the main ingredients?

  1. Just wanted to let you know that I used to work in the kitchen at Applebees & the 'Mexi-Ranch" Dressing they use to top the chicken is just ranch dressing mixed with salsa. I know you have another concoction that sounds good, but just thought I'd put that info out there for ya :) I didn't rate the dish because I haven't made it.

  2. I read a comment about "liquid smoke" and why use it if you're cooking on the grill. FYI, not much "smoke" flavor if you are using a gas grill. Another comment was about "carcinogens" in liquid smoke... Not using enough that you should be worried about it unless you are totally paranoid!

  3. This was even better than Applebee's. I forgot the ginger and it was still delicious. I didn't have cajun seasoning so used season all. I made pico di gallo on the side to eat with it along with rice. It was perfect.

  4. It turned out amazing and my whole family loved it! ??????

  5. This is way better than Applebees!! I didt't have dry ginger so i used fresh which a conversion table suggested 1tbsp. And i didnt have sour cream so i used southwest ranch dressing. I also used breasts and tenderloins and both turned out wonderful.

Tweaks

  1. I made this last night and it turned out awesome. I skipped the teriyaki sauce since I didn't have any, but marinated it in tandoori chicken powder instead. I also ended up baking the chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil and garnished it with cilantro leaves and served with a side of potato skins. Thank you for the recipe. It was so good :)
