  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 14 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 12 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 14 teaspoon cinnamon oil or 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon extract
  • 1 ounce cinnamon red hot's candy (whole or crushed as you wish and use as many or few as you like)

  • Whisk the cream, half-and-half, sugar and salt in a bowl until the sugar dissolves.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon oil.
  • Churn in an ice cream maker adding the red hots 5 mins before it's done or stir them in after after it comes out of the ice cream maker.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm, at least 2 hours.

  1. Well Annacia.. this is one great recipe.. forget the calories. I used the extract, and followed the recipe right down the line. The (hotness) was just right with the cold ice cream, and worked out well. Had takeout due to a highschool baseball game,and was read when we got home. It sure beat going out for some too. Easy as can be, and very inexpensive. )
