  • Caramelize onions in large soup pot with butter, bay leaves, thyme, salt and peper. Stir frequently and let caramelize for about 40 minutes over meduim heat.
  • Deglazed pan with wine for a minute stirring constantly. Add stock, worcestershire and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Simmer 15 minutes.

  1. Yum! Very tasty. I didn't have white wine so I used red. Also added a splash of balsamic. Added a splash of olive oil to the butter too to keep it from burning.
