  1. This is a winner! I love it! I love spices with chocolate. I usually don't like homemade hot chocolate because of the "hot" milk taste. I didn't taste that at all in this recipe. I used lowfat milk and spray can whipped cream but all other ingredients were the same. It turned out rich but not overly so with just the right hint of spices and sweetness. Perfect. The only thing missing from the directions is when to add the extracts, I'm assuming in step 3 after it's heated through and the heat is turned off. Thank you so much for this recipe. I'll be making it again.

  2. This was good, buta little too "kicked up" for my family. The main complaint was that it had too much cinnamon. If I cut that back, I think it would be perfect. Very smooth and creamy otherwise. Thanks!!

  3. Like the chef who has shared this recipe, I have dietary restrictions that required me to make a number of substitutions to reduce the calories and fat. So while I can't comment on the richness or creaminess of the recipe, I can comment and will on the combination of spices and flavors which were just wonderful. The combination of cinnamon and chocolate are a long favorite of mine, but the addition of nutmeg allspice and extracts made this really special. Such a delightful treat as the temperature continues to dip. Thanks Annacia.

  4. Rich and thick and chocolately and kicked up a notch.

  5. This hot chocolate is comforting, warming and pampering. I thought the spices would be too "much" but they were just right. I liked that it wasn't too rich, (like the recipe I make)but rich enough to feel pampered. Thank you Annacia for sharing.
