directions

  • Ice cupcakes with green frosting.
  • Slice gumdrops in half (Note: If you have a Lammes Candies around you, they also have these green sours you can buy in bulk that work if you cannot find gumdrops).
  • Push one white chocolate chip piece into the bottom edge of the sticky part of the gumdrop, you want the point of the chip to stick in there.
  • Place gumdrops on cupcake like the frog's eyes and use the black icing to make a dot for the pupil.
  • Note: You can also use blue frosting and have it look like the frog is coming out of the water.

  1. hi

  2. Absolutely the cutest things. I made them for a co-worker's birthday and even the men in the office seemed to find them inviting! I used recipe#87205 for the cup cakes and recipe#89207 for the icing. I ran out of green gum drops so I also used orange gum drops, so they looked like tree frogs! Thank you for one of the most fun birthday goodies I have made.

  3. Brilliant! Made these for the kid's table at our annual "Welcome Summer" picnic. (Which we hold at our family farm, complete with a pond filled with bullfrogs) I used candy spearmint leaves (cut in half) instead of the gumdrops and chocolate jimmy sprinkles instead of decorating gel (held on with a smidgen of white frosting. Oh, and used green foil cupcake liners too! Fabulous!! Huge hit for the kids and adults alike. Thanks for this cute, cute recipe!

  4. So cute! I'd recommend pistachio or Key Lime cupcakes, or basic vanilla dyed green-- especially with the blue frosting to make it look like the frog's coming out of the water. I've loved frogs and toads ever since I was really little....can also use Rolos with a chocolate cupcake to make toad cupcakes :)

  5. These were fun to make and a hit with my niece!! Had problems with my icing as it was soooo humid - but the kids still thought they were cute!! Used my recipe #235204 for cupcakes. Thanks!
