  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Add orange rind and juice; beat well.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, beating well.
  • Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets; bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until edges just begin to brown.
  • Cool on wire racks.
  • Spread tops of cookies with orange glaze.
  • Orange Glaze: Combine all ingredients; beat until smooth.

  1. These are fantastic! I just made them. I had to halve the recipe due to lack of flour in my pantry. I used fresh orange rind and juice. The flavor is outstanding, and the texture of them is wonderful! I will definitely make these again!
     
  2. Loved these. Very light cookie. These aren't real rich and sweet like some, but are high in flavor and taste. Perfect with iced tea in the summertime!
