A cousin made this for a family reunion recently. She called her recipe "Georgia Cornbread', too. It was delicious... slightly sweet and different from any cake I'd ever had. She put walnuts in hers instead of the pecans, and dusted the top with powdered sugar. I'll be making it myself the next time we have a family get-together.

Wondering why there was no cornmeal in the recipe? Maybe the people forgot to add it to the recipe??? I made my own self rising "wheat" flour, used 3XL eggs instead of 4, slightly sprayed 9x13 pan, sprinkled small amount of cornmeal in bottom, put in batter and topped w/cinnamon/sugar mixture then swirled through batter both horizontally and vertically. Turned out good.
