  1. What an easy, delicious pie to make! As a working "Mom", my time is limited, so I volunteered to be on the Hospitality Committee for the PTA. Man, have I been baking my buns off! This time, I had only 1 day notice that a dessert was needed. I looked through my cookbooks and found this little gem that I hadn't tried yet. I admit, I did cheat and use pre-made pie crusts. The filling came together in less than 10 minutes. It was so easy, that I made two pies, one to bring to my boss, who loves the German Chocolate combination. I didn't get any feedback from the PTA, but my boss gave it 5 stars. I ate one small bite and also say "High five" Thank you, zip, for an easy, but impressive, recipe. Sue

  2. Wow! Now this is chocolate! Went together easily but baking was a bit thought provoking ;-) After 50 minutes, the topping was browned but the center was wobbly. Not knowing if it would set up on cooling, I covered the top with foil & let it rip for another 10 minutes. That firmed it up fine. The filling texture reminds me of a good southern pecan pie. I used a dark cocoa so I REALLY have a chocolate pie! Lucky for me, few of my family members like coconut ;-) Thanks for sharing!
