Graham Streusel Cake

"I saw this on the Lifetime Real Women show "Mom's Cooking". I haven't tried it yet, but it looks really yummy!!! I think I may substitute mini chocolate chips for the nuts--my little one is not much of a nut fan."

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 28 squares)
  • 34 cup nuts, chopped
  • 34 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 13 teaspoons cinnamon (I don't know about you, but mine doesn't have a "third"measure spoon!)
  • 34 cup butter, melted (or margarine)
  • 1 (8 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 13 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Generously grease a 9x13" pan.
  • Mix crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, nuts and butter; set aside.
  • Prepare cake mix according to box directions.
  • Pour about 2 1/3 Celsius batter into pan; sprinkle with 2 Celsius crumb mixture.
  • Pour remaining batter into pan; sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  • Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in the middle, about 45-50 minutes.
  • Cool before serving.
