- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 3⁄4 cup shortening
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Mix ingredients.
- Fold dough 5 times.
- Roll dough out 1 inch thick.
- Cut dough with a wide mouth glass.
- Lighty coat in flour.
- Melt 1/2 tablespoon butter on bottom of the pan.
- Place biscuits in pan.
- Bake for 18 minutes.
