directions

 • In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and miracle whip. Spread onto both sides of the center of each roll. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss inside of each roll. Close rolls and place them into a large baking dish or heavy cookie sheet. Place very close together.
 • In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the poppy seed sauce ingredients. Pour evenly over all of the sandwiches. You do not have to use all of the sauce! Just use enough to cover the tops. Let sit 10 minutes or until butter sets slightly. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover and cook for 2 additional minutes or until tops are slightly brown and crispy. Serve warm.
 • sandwiches can be assembled a day ahead and kept in the fridge ready to bake.

 1. Forget the mayo and Miracle Whip, use horseradish mustard and solftened butter Wrap sandwiches in foil.

 2. Yum! These were great and really easy to make. Love the addition of the poppy seeds and onions; really made a huge, delicious difference!

 3. Loved these little sandwiches! They were great for a neighborhood get together. Put together earlier in the day and heated 1/2 hour before leaving. I used 17 dinner rolls, slightly larger then a party roll, and they were excellent. No leftovers to take home! I only used mayonnaise as I didn't have Miracle Whip in the house. I will try M.W. next time I make them but they were very good with just mayo. And I love how easy they are to make! Thanks Michelle for sharing this really good recipe !

 4. These sliders were incredibly delicious and super easy to put together! I made them for my Dear BF to snack on while watching the Super Bowl game and he loved them! His exact comment was that they were awesome! I omitted the onions because he's not a fan of them and I didn't have any poppy seeds on hand...I will definitely be making these again! Thanks for posting!!

I was born in Glendale, California but I currently reside in Athens, AL. The military brought me to Alabama in 1989 and I just never left! Although quite different from California, I have come to love the more laid back lifestyle the South has to offer. My husband, who is Puerto Rican, and I were married in May 2006. He is retired from the Army (24 years) and now works for TASC Inc. while I am a stay at home mom. this is a new lifestyle for me as I worked for 23 years before having a baby on Dec 20, 2008. She was born two months premature and while she was in the hospital I decided I wanted to be with her and so I stopped working.

My husband and I both love cooking (probably him moreso than I) in our spare time. We purchased a home in 2006, and I think the main reason we bought the home is because of the beautiful kitchen...which is where we spend most of our time.

We like to try new recipes and Recipezaar has made this easy for us. When we first met he moved to Alaska, and to bridge the distance we would cook (him in Alaska and me in Alabama) the exact same recipe from zaar while on the phone or web cam together. When we had more time we tried at least one new recipe a week. We are slowly but surely getting back to that tradition. Cooking together has become challenging with a 13 month old. One of us plays with her while the other cooking.

I also enjoy collecting cookbooks and now I am addicted to Food Network. I love Giada and Ina the most...My husband thinks Ina is too boring, but her dishes always sound so amazing.
