  1. Great use of leftover ham that resulted in a delicious casserole. I substituted spaghetti for the macaroni, omitted the nutmeg, and added nearly 2 cups of shredded cheddar. Additionally, I added about 1/2 cup sour cream and sprinkled some breadcrumbs on top before baking. My DH loved it, and so did I .... second helpings for us both!

  2. This was very easy to put together for a fast family meal. We had some left over smoked ham and it was wonderful. I did add about 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese to the mix. It was wonderful. Thanks Inez

  3. Nice use for leftover ham. I made this as written and it was pretty good but I thought itt was a little bland. I think next time I will add chopped onion as well as mix some parmesan or swiss cheese into the casserole. Thanx!

  4. We got a Honey Baked ham for New Years and my dh wanted homemade mac n cheese for leftovers (w/ the ham). I happened upon your recipe and made this. So very, very good, we're having it again! Made it completely as you stated and the second time we didn't change a thing. Good, good stuff. Thanks for an easy, delicious dinner. DH says the leftovers were "real good." I'd definitely recommend using large elbow macaroni...:)

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
